Define
The first step is to understand what the app will be used for and what features are needed to support that use. Then we need to understand who the users are and what their specific needs are. With that information, we can start to define the requirements for the app.
Sketch
When we sketch out the mobile app, we start by looking at the overall design and functionality of the app. We then break down the app into smaller pieces and start sketching out each screen. We think about the user flow and how the app will work as a whole.
Design
Once we have a good understanding of the app, we start working on the visual design. We create a style guide and start working on the branding of the app. We then create user-friendly designs for each screen and put everything together to set the stage for upcoming steps.
Choose
We usually choose the tech stack for a mobile app based on the following criteria: The app’s purpose (e.g. for gaming, for business, for social networking, etc.), platform it will be built for (iOS, Android, or both), the budget & timeline
Build
Once we have decided on the tech stack, we start coding the app according to the platform’s guidelines and the design we have achieved. We make sure the app is free of any bugs, is highly performant and responsive on mobile devices.
Test
Few methods that we use for testing to ensure the app is free of any bugs and highly performant are - functional testing, security testing, compatibility testing, & performance testing.
Launch
Once testing is done, we submit the app to the app stores for approval. This process can take a few weeks. Post launch, we offer a complementary 3 months of support for small changes in your app, and one year of support for any issues in existing features.
